Yannick & Selina
The idea of High Life was not planned. It grew organically.
It all began with Selina. She used the word quite naturally in her everyday life, in all kinds of moments. And although those moments were different, they had one thing in common: they were moments when she truly felt life. Moments of contentment, lightness and genuine happiness.
“A summer evening, a glass of wine with my loved ones. That is High Life for me.”
When we met, this idea gradually became something special for Yannick too. Before long, High Life was no longer just a single word, but a shared way of living that continued to grow over time.
In a world that spins faster than ever, we have made it our mission to give these moments more space again and to experience them more consciously. Morning coffee. A walk in nature. An evening on the cosy sofa. Everyday little things, but also very special moments.
“High Life” became our term for exactly these moments – perhaps because there is no word that truly fits. Everyone has their own personal High Life moments. And that is precisely what makes it beautiful.
Over time we noticed that many people feel the same. The term became ever more natural in our circle, and eventually others began to name their own moments that way too.
From that grew the wish to carry this idea further. To create a place where exactly that is possible. Space for personal High Life moments, alone or in company.
We found that place in Mathon. A special mountain lodge in the heart of the Beverin Nature Park, embedded in the stillness and beauty of nature.

Selina
Selina combines analytical thinking with creative expression. Shaped by her studies in business psychology and several years in India and the USA, she developed an early sensitivity for people, cultures and conscious living.
Alongside Casa High Life, she also works in a structured professional environment – a combination that shapes her clear, proactive and intuitive approach.
In her free time she lives an active lifestyle with yoga, pilates and running. At the same time she values conscious enjoyment, nature, design and art. Her creative side comes alive through her label artsbyselina (feel free to visit on Instagram).
“An afternoon in the studio, surrounded by colours, letting my art flow intuitively, bringing spaces to life with my paintings, giving people joy and inspiring them with my art – that is High Life for me.”
Selina brings vision, a feel for atmosphere and emotional depth to Casa High Life. Her eye for detail shapes our guests’ experience.

Yannick
Yannick comes from competitive sport and is studying psychology alongside. Movement, discipline and mental strength have shaped him since childhood and now flow into the concept of Casa High Life.
“My first High Life moment of the day is making an espresso with my lever machine.”
For him, it is precisely these small rituals that consciously begin the day and give him structure and focus.

Beatrice Trachsel
With Beatrice Trachsel we have a true hospitality professional on our side. She brings many years of experience and successfully ran the Badhütte in Rorschach, among others. With her calm, professional manner and her sense of quality, she ensures our guests feel welcome from the very first moment.
What defines Beatrice: she loves contrasts – between calm and liveliness, clarity and warmth. A love of the simple and natural, from good food to a relaxed atmosphere. A deep connection to nature and joy in working with her hands, whether in the kitchen or outdoors. And an eye for genuine encounters and the small moments that stay in memory.
